The Starlink ridge mount works—it's non-penetrating and handles wind load well. Some owners use TV antenna tripods with U-bolts or pipe clamps to secure the enclosure, running a single SMA cable down. For flat roofs, a cheap solution is a cinder block base with threaded rod through a weatherproof box; seal the cable entry with a gland and ground the box if running PoE. If mounting multiple units on one structure, add guy wires or use a mast rated for the combined sail area—wind load increases quickly. Common mistake: running the SMA cable unprotected alongside the power line without a drip loop, allowing water to track into the enclosure at the gland.
